Bmw e60 520i 2004 power issue
Hi.
Im new to the E60 platform as i just got the car.
My car does one very strange thing and it is very frustrating.
When i am trying to accelerate the car bogs down for around 3-5 seconds (sometimes more) and when i press the gas pedal all the way it will comtinue to bog for around 3-5 seconds then drop a gear and then it does accelerate. transmission is automatic.
Also sometimes it will hold a gear in until rpms reach around 3500-4000 and then it changes. Usually it does that in 3rd. I dont know what to do tried resetting the throttle and gearbox memory.
any help would be much appreciated.

You need a transmission service. Theres an extensive transmission DIY thread that will definitely solve your shifting issues.
