Thanks for that Document.. that was helpful, But I am still debating if I am going to get the extented maintenace for $1800
Do you know what you will be getting with "extended maintenance"? If it's just oil change, etc. then it is probably not worth it. You will probably visit the dealership atmost 6x the next 2 years for maintenance.

My dealership offered me something similar for ~2000 (I passed on it). They also are offering to CPO my car for more money.

Hi to all,

I've just changed my rear brake pads 2 weeks ago here in Portugal, official BMW dealer in Coimbra, and I've just paid 290?, about 340$, for the pads, new brake fluid, BMW-Sauber hat , AC minifilters and labor! Mine is also from 2004 e61 530d!

I changed the rear brake pads and the front brake pads and roters myself. An very easy job..

I just changed the microfilters a couple of weeks ago - very easy as well

...and spend three days on cleaning the car:

I don't know if there's any for E60 specific but there are tons out there for 3 series.
I'm planning to make my own DIY for E60 545i specific but not until I need to change pads

Rotors = American for Disc Brake.

I have no idea how Americans came up w/ rotors instead of discs

Hey men, that's expensive, 3 days cleaning?! Do you know how much did it cost to you in labor hours!? OK, you might be receiving 50? a week and if so that's cheap!!! And by the way, how did you managed to get a e60 if you receive 50? a week, are you running from your taxes??!! haa haa...

He He, just joking with you , but can I let my car with you to clean if I ever go again to Denmark?! I went to Copenhagen last summer!! I did a Scandinavian drivetour, very nice countries!!!
