BMW charged rear brake pads for $800!!!!!

Hi guys,
I own a 2004 e60. The warranty has expired 2 months ago.
I brought it to BMW dealer this morning for oil change and brake pads.
I was really surprised when they charged 800 bucks just for the rear brake pads.
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get it replaced cheaper.
Any information will be very useful.

post the invoice , there is something wrong with the total if all they did was replace the pads... even sounds high for pads and rotors ???

You have to be careful but I found me a BMW Local garage that uses Part time BMW Mechanics, from my local BMW Dealer along with their own approved mechanics, and your brakes was way too high!! But did they change your rotors? If so, that's not that bad I guess?
On mine they changed my front and rear brake pads and said my rotors did not need to be replaced they were in spec's. (That was the last freebie I got before my BMW maintenance agreement expired last April. 2008).
Now I am on my own! I need a oil and filter change, and my SA said oh you mean our BMW e60 "GOLD" oil service plan which includes reset the idrive light and it will cost you only: $220.00 + TAX!!, I frowned and he said now look what your getting!! (I thought to myself yea I am getting screwed without being kissed! LOL) SO I went to my local BMW and other imports garage and got it done for $66.00 using BMW Synthetic engine oil, new BMW Oil filter, and they reset my idive oil light free!
In conclusion: Just be careful the BMW Sharks are out there on land after the last of our money $$$$$$ with their "latest" and "greatest" BMW e60 scheduled "GOLD", (LOL), maintenance deals!!
