While August sales of the E60 are well below the same month last year (-33%), sales of the 5 series jumped 42% over July. By comparison, the MB E-Class lost 12% volume from July to August. Other new models couldn't keep pace either: the Jaguar XF moved 21% more units in August than July, while the hot-selling Hyundai Genesis gained only 15%. Industry-wide sales were up 26% from July to August (can you say ... cash for clunkers?).
