Default BMW 520d lci n47d20a loosing coolant

Hi

my e60 520d lci with 200,000 miles is loosing coolant, this happened 2-3 times coolant too low sign came on, filled up and gone low again after 100 miles

No visible leaks, but I can see some white smoke from exhaust sometimes when pulling away, also egr valve vacuum got siezed so I changed egr, water pump and new coolant but still the same. The radiator hoses are hot and very pressure seems like system is pressuring, can hear the coolant bottle trying to release pressure

any ideas please

I would do a pressure test on the system. You'll definitely find it then. I know the N47 had a recall or something on the EGR due to coolant leak issue but that can't be your issue.

pressure test will find the leak ? But wheat about the pressurising coolant system, if there was a leak would it not build that much pressure ? The pipes are rock solid when runing

The leak appears to be internal. Pressure test to verify.

Sorry what do you mean, I’m suspecting head gasket or cracked head/block, how will pressure test prove this ?
