Thought I would post this, I'm going to call my dealership and inquire about this

THis is a repost, also the title is a little misleading since there are no reported incidens of a trunk fire because of this. 
Also, your local dealer won't be much help, there is no recall listed for our cars (other than the known V-8 cars vacuum pump issue):
