Default Blinker volume and sound

We have a 2010 e60 with an N52k.

When you turn the blinker on there is no audible sound. This can be a problem because sometimes the blinker is on and you don't know it as the steering wheel blocks the dashboard and you can't see the blinker is on.

The original owner obviously unplugged a harness or snipped a wire somewhere to silence the blinker noise.

I need to reconnect it, but I don't know what they did to disconnect it in the first place.

Has anyone disconnected the blinker audio in the past and know where its located so I can reconnect it?

are you sure it was disconnected & wasn't turned off in some menu? I'm not sure if that's even an option on your car I have an e60 & I know within the hidden menu [that you get into by holding odometer button] I believe there is an option for the blinkers sound after doing the unlock method to get into the closed sections of the menu.

I will try to get into the hidden menu and see if that option exists in my e60. Good thinking.

Should I be able to see that option in Inpa software or NCS expert?

I was able to enter the e60 hidden menu. Item number 13 in the hidden menu is the blinker sound test. The hidden menu said, "no sound"

I tried to toggle it from no sound to sound, but it is only a menu and not an adjustment mechanism.
