My understanding of the way the volume setting for various "sources" (Sat Nav, current audio source, traffic announcement) whould work is that you adjust the volume whilst that source is active (i.e. during a traffic announcement or a sat nav instruction) and it should be remembered.
On my car, it seems that traffic announcement and audio source are linked - if I turn the volume up during a TA the main audio volume is then increased when the TA is over.... or if I decrease the main audio volume when there isn't a TA, at the next TA, the volume is low again.
Anyone else experience this?
Cheers, Clive

Nop, my TA anouncements have a different volume than the music volume at that moment. Also the nav instructions are set the way I like it.
It should work..try it again. Otherwise get the dealer to check it out.

Oh, I tried several times :-)
Any idea what s/w version you're on - or actually, as I don't know what version I have, when your car was built? Mine was Nov '04.

I had version 11.xx when I took delivery and they were not linked.
After the upgrade to 14 they are annoyingly linked! It doesn't work correctly. When I turn down the volume the TA's will not be turned down... That, I think, is a bug...
