My Ride: E60
I have ordered a 525i with the sport pkg (also w/ the star spoke wheels) and I'm having the hardest time finding good pics of the car. I've seen lots of E60 galleries, but I rarely see any of the color I ordered (Black Sapphire).
Anyone know a good site with lots of those pics?
Anyone have the E60 in Black Sapphire where you can take several pics from various angles?
Thanks all...

Sapphire/Auburn 530d SE
555,
Here is a link to pictures of my car. I seem to be single handedly increasing sales of the sapphire/auburn combo for BMW both in the US and UK

Great looking car!
I was just hoping someone had the 525 with the sport. This 530 has the chrome line (not shadow line like in the sport pkg). Plus the wheels and interior look totally different than what I'll end up with.
I do appreciate the pics though! Again, it looks great!
My specs: 2004 525i (US model), Black Sapphire, Beige Dakota Leather, 17" Star Spoke wheels, premium pkg, sport pkg, Adaptive Xenons, Full Navigation, Auto Steptronic.
Due for week 8 production, so I should have it mid April.

Looks great, though I've gone a different direction: I prefer the non-metallic black and have de-chromed around the windows... and might have ordered a dechromed grill surround had it been available.
I dunno - the shiny stuff doesn't do it for me... other than the wheels, of course.
Anyone else go the de-chroming route?

In the U.S., if you order the sport package, the chrome area around the windows is replaced with a black material. BMW calls it "Shadowline exterior trim".
You can see it in action if you choose "build my BMW" on the BMWUSA web site. It comes with the chrome, but as soon as you choose the sport pkg, it turns black on the picture of the car.
Not sure if it works this way in other countries though.

I also chose the non metallic Jet black because it is a deeper, glossy black, but it is a pain to keep it brand new looking. Metallic tends to hide the slight nicks and rub marks that are just part of life. Trade off one way or the other but I don't think you can go wrong with either

Rather than US$3300 or so for a sports package i certainly prefer my route of something like ?270 for sports suspension and another ?150 or so for the dechroming (yes, yes, I know that it comes with more)...
I know the US$ is low these days but even so I prefer the UK approach.
Amazing.... BMW in NA you need a $3000+ premium package before you can install the $1800 nav system.... so the cost of nav in the US is closer to $5000 (in terms of mandatory spend)
Man, I don't know but I guess I am one of the only poor people on the board, scooching my options in to shoehorn under ?30K was not easy but I don't appear to have the extra buckets of cash that you all seem to have... ah, well, I still don't think I am going to feel bad in my 520i (except for those few times when I travel in Germany)
cheers -- with any luck my next post will be as an owner!

Not sure I'm following that. Need $3,000/USD + premium pkg for the U.S. Nav? You just need the Premium for the Nav. The sports pkg would purely be optional.
