My Ride: 2011 F10 535i -Brilliant Graphite/Oyster 2006 E5004matic- I must have been on drugs when I got this car 2004 545i Black Sapphire/Truffle Brown interior
Default

Just want to thank everyone who helped me decide to get a 545i over an M35X.
This forum was so helpfull in helping me make my decision. I don't think that there was one issue or topic that was of concern to me that was not covered by a previous thread.

I am picking my car up on Friday. I went over to the dealer last night and had them run through the complete car with me. There is nothing that I dislike more than having to spend a couple of hours on delivery day going through the operations of the vehicle when all I want to do is get out of there and drive.
I even picked up the manual so I can go through it before I get the car.

2004 Black Sapphire/Truffle Brown/Anthracite Maple/July 04 build

Was not pleased to find out that there is no Bluetooth, however at present time my Cell Phone provider does not even carry a Bluetooth equipped phone.

Will report back after pick up. Thanks again everyone.

Congrats on the new ride. As a fellow Spahire Black owner, I welcome you to the car washer club.

BT is not a problem for your car. All you need to do is have your dealer activate the software. That's all you will need if you want to go with the BT phone.

Enjoy the new ride.

Since you don't have an immediate need for BT, wait until your first software upgrade under warranty and ask them to activate BT while they're upgrading you. This way, you don't have to pay to get BT activated...

Rudy: This might be dealer-dependent. I was in for the emissions recall, which necessitated a s/w upgrade. I was still charged approx. $100 for bt activation.
