Damn Gene and you're just up the street a few miles. Regarding the alarms, they will shut down after a period of time (usually a couple of minutes). Mainly this is to preserve the battery in case of false activation, but also to comply with noise ordinances. As xBMWx stated, after about a minute of alert time, it becomes exponentially futile to keep blasting as most theives are in and out within a minute or 2.
