Guys Thanks so much for your replies. Thats exactly whati was thinking as well.
It turns out, something is wrong with the clutch. I am stil in debate, but leaning toward not taking the car.
aside from its problems the car is absolutely beautiful. Tit Gray/Auburn....

That is what they said so far. I am not sure if they are 100% sure that it is the clutch. They said, it sounds like its in the clutch, but who knows what it really is.
I am going crazy man, the car is beautiful, but i don't want a head ache.

i dont mess with the engine. I would rather drive a new pinto with know noise than a new bmw and noise in the engine. That is how serious that is.
