I got a clunking noise on the engine. i did not pick the car up as of yet, nad probably will not even take it if this is something major. Have anyone experienced a clunking noise at very very Low RPM's. Its sort of a knock where the catalycs are. The dealer is busy, and my approval from BMW expires today.
What would you guys do in my place?

 

Hummm thats a tough call, I would follow my instincts. One hand you have a warranty and the other hand its tough for a manufacturer to buy back lemons.
I think I would wait and pass on this one and try again later for something else.

 

I would pass as well, engine is something you don't want the dealer messing with after you take delivery of the car.

If you can get out of the deal without any penalty, pass it. You don't want to have a headache from day one.

 

Just simply tell them it's not working correctly and you don't want it. They want you to take it as its not their money. Don't stand for it!

 

I agree with Merv and the other posters. Don't acccept substandard goods just because you feel a little bit of time pressure. In the end, you probably won't be happy and will wind up hating the car if it has recurring problems.

 

If there was any query with the engine, theres no way I would take it. Even if you have been waiting a long time. Its not worth the risk.

 

Everyone here is right. You should not take it at all; no matter what the dealer promises.

 

order another one...
