Quik question, do u also get xenon foglights as well? when u order xenon headlights? If not, would it look funny with both lights on (given the different tones in color)?

Like many things, I think you'll find that once you have Xenons, you can't do without them.
I'm not sure about the options in the UK but if your choice of Xenons gets you the adaptive headlights too then you should factor that into your decision as well. The adaptive lights are fantastic!
Bunbun, the foglights are not Xenon. (That's all I'm going to say on the subject of foglights... )

That'll be a yes then
In the UK there is a Visibilty Package which includes:
Adaptive Headlights
Bi-Xenon Headlights inc. Headlight Washers
for ?720 (would cost ?1155 if added separately)
so looks like its time to squeeze the piggy bank even more!!
Thanks all for the comments, appreciate it.

Yes they're a great option
I think they're good value as you get Xenon on both dipped and high beams. A friend of mine has a 2003 X5 and he only has dipped. I think he paid around ?600 for the option.
Cheers

Xenon lights are really an improvement over the normal headlights.
They give the car a much classier look as well I think...
When I see a 5 series without it I think to myself, hey thats a 520i

My Ride: 545i Jet Black, Auburn Dakota, Sport Package, Logic 7, Red rear reflectors, K&N intake filter
If you look totally at the practical aspect then they are a must if you drive at night, especially when they are combined with the active headlights that turn.
The difference in clarity of what is ahead at night is astonishing.
Best thing to do is go take a test drive at night in one with xenon
