Hey Guys,

I been looking at some used 5's and had a question...is there a DIY out there to change the interior trim..also where can the trim be purchased at a reasonable price..Just do not think I will be happy with the brown wood look on some of the cars I have been looking at. I like the Piano black or carbon look

Also another point..some of the used 5's look pretty rough...looks like it will be a while before I find a suitable one...your thoughts

You can buy carbon fiber vinyl film and gloss black for that matter. Relatively cheap to obtain and not really super hard to do, just time consuming and tedious. You don't want to break the pieces when you remove them and they are much easier to cover off the vehicle than on.

Do you know where I would purchase..looked on ebay and the price was over $600? Is there a online guide or youtube video?

Trim comes up fairly regular on ebay at reasonable prices, you may have to be patient tho, good luck finding, remember once you change you can recoup some of the cost by selling yours. All is easily changed with a little patience and care.

I vinyl wrapped my interior trim this weekend. I followed the following...

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=496840

I added 3 threads because some parts were missing in the first thread. Additionally this PDF was very helpful as well. Tons of pics...

I got my vinyl off eBay.
