ok guys my battery terminal cables have an issue and are throwing errors on my i-drive for no reason. i thought it was the battery but got it diagnosed by bmw and they found out that when i bought the car the last owner boosted the car the wrong way and one of the cable has a big bubble on it and thats whats causing it to throw errors. Now, i need to know where to get the battery terminal cables that run from the battery in the trunk to the enginebay. BMW quoted me $800 for just the cables

There are a ton of places to get them... the stealership, Autozone, Precision Auto, Performance Auto. I am pretty sure many of the online vendors would have them as well - realoem, Turner Motorsports, Bavarian Auto...

That cable isn't doing any more than being available to jump start or attach a trickle charger. Unless it's grounding out / short that part of the cable could be repaired w/o necessitating a replacement from trunk to engine compartment.
IF, on the otherhand, it's the IBS (intelligent battery Sensor) - that is part of the negative battery cable in the trunk or one of the positive cables in there it's not going to be a trip to Autozone but to a dealer.
For starters I'd get to a qualified BMW independent mechanic or a qualified BMW Dealer (they're not all created equal!) -- the electrics on our cars can be very very perplexing to trouble shoot and fix !!

You have not said which cable has the bubble on it ,but it's likely to be the IBS cable .The IBS module is on the battery negative terminal and it's cable is connected to the positive terminal.
