hey,
my battery went dead today on my 5 series and i know how to jump start the car but i was wondering where the actual battery is at. I looked in the owners manuel and I couldn't find it. Can anyone tell me where it is located at and also does the dealership warrenty cover replacement batteries?
thanks
david

either in the trunk somewhere, or under the back seat...if i do recall...

jump from the jump point provided in the engine compartment tho...I have been told that jumping straight from the battery can fry the processors, but I think there has been a safe guard installed so rather than frying your car they will fry theirs, possibly...I am sure one of the vets/experts will provide further/correct info..

Ya its in the trunk on the right side. you have to open the side panel to get to it. 4 screws I think.

And yes the warranty does cover battery. I had mine replaced a few months ago. it went dead on me too.
