Battery drain

No i haven’t disconnected the Ibs yet. At the moment ive disconnected the battery and put it on charge.Are you saying that although it’s a new battery that it might not be charging properly? Could all the times that the car have discharged the battery damaged the new battery?


what do you suggest I do:shall I charge battery and the disconnect Ibs and see go for a long drive and switch car off and see if problem persist?

If you did not register the new battery, it'd be at a charge rate for an old battery which is good for an old battery, but not so good for a new battery.

It can damage a new battery, but it takes a bit.

Since you don't seem to even have a multimeter, I was about to reply to fully charge the battery, and then disconnect the IBS and see what happens.

I have the old bmw version, do I register the battery with any software? I Google it and nothing comes up about registering new batteries for 54 plate 5series e60
