Hi all,

I just placed an order for a 525 with silver titanium exterior and light grey leather seat inside.

I have not decided whether i should have a bamboo anthracite or dark polar trim for my wood trim, and the dealer does not have a sample for the bamboo..

any advice??? Thanks a lot.

would be great if someone can share some real life photos.

Eric

I can?t comment about the combination with your light grey seats but I can comment on my impression on the bamboo wood. Although it looks good from a distance, I found that - up close - I did not like the appearance and that it had an almost greenish cast to it (hard to explain, but that?s why this is my impression). I had a 550i with SP for about 8 or 9 days with black leather interior and bamboo wood. Two friends who got into the car (separately) made comments (not favorable) about the bamboo without any prompting from me.

I have also found that photos are not representative of how any of the woods look in real life.

I would recommend you try going to other dealers in your area to see if they have a car with bamboo you can look at.

Both your exterior and interior are light colors. Contrasting too much with the trim is something you may regret later.

It would be best to see the combination at your dealer first at different times of day. i.e in bright light as well as at evenings.

I have black leather with the bamboo anthracite and anthracite headliner. I love the bamboo and have gotten a bunch of unsolicited compliments on the wood. One neighbor even felt that it made the car...

I've got a monaco blue 535i with grey leather on order. The silver accents on the sport wheel along with the anthracite bamboo and grey seats work really well together. I've seen the bamboo with several different interior color combinations at the dealership and thought it look great in all applications. It's also more eco friendly.
