Bad bushing or not? Vibration above 50mph
I have a vibration above 50mph (steering wheel shakes visibly, brake pedal also has vibration when braking from high speeds). Vibration usually starts around 45mph and sometimes it goes away at highway speeds but not always. When raising the vehicle and shaking the wheel at 12 oclock and 1 oclock there seems to be no movement (besides the steering moving a bit). But when i took of the wheel it seems i can wiggle the front forward control arm on both sides.
I believe part number 31126760181, 31126760182.
1.Should it be hard as a rock or have some play?
2. Any other thing i should check for?
2.Also is this a easy diy (I think I have to remove bolt and nut from the frame and have to remove the ball joint nut only)

worn control arms will amplify a vibration, and not usually cause a vibration, unless they are really worn and loose.
vibration without applying brakes would normaly be a bent, out of round, or out of balanced wheel.
shaking while braking is usually a sign of warped rotors.

Excess play in the rubber bushings can cause alignment problems and sloppy steering. If you see any kind of cracks or leaks in the ball joints or bushings then you will need to have them replaced.

Things to look for when you have vibrations are:
unevenly worn tires, wheel bearings, bent rims, transmission flex disc (guibo), drivetrain, axles, and the rear differential.
I agree in most cases a loose control arm won't individually cause any vibration issues. As mentioned it can amplify it because once the wheel starts shaking the loose control arm makes it shake even more violently.
