My Ride: 545i 6-speed Orient Blue/Auburn
Just got back from two weeks in Europe and 2500 miles traveled. Will post pictures shortly.
My 545i however has the problem many describe with the radio coming on when started. Does anyone know when the car hits the US shores will the software be automatically updated to the latest version resolving this annoying issue and updated to include the 3D navigation view, or do I need to beg the dealer to install the new software version?

BMW VPC (Vehicle Preparation Center) will probably not upgrade your software. You can ask your dealer to perform the upgrade, when the car is at the dealer getting the US re-delivery prep.
Test BMW Assist button before the car leaves the lot. If you want Daytime Running Light, tell them to activate it. My BMW Assist was programmed to call 911 emergency after the dealer performed a software upgrade. Now, I have to go back again.
