Tried another brand new 3.5 mm cable.. same thing. I also noticed I'm hearing static feedback from the external Sirius radio when the light are on, turn signals on, or the brake pedal is pressed. If the device is not getting power from the car there is no such noise.
after more listening to the radio, it seems like something may be interfering with the driver side input as static feedback is coming only from the driver side of the car. Also, then there i no static, there is sound coming out, but it is extremely faint. Any other ideas guys?

gonna take a look at the connection behind the radio later... I think its the connector in the back, because otherewise everything appears to be working ok.

So i resoldered the "chip" back in place and found one of the pins for the AUX cable in the back of the wiring harness to be in the wrong spot. I brought the car back to the dealer, they changed the pin but I'm still getting the horrendous static feedback and loss of sound on driver side. Bringing the car back on tuesday to get checked out.. Any ideas what it may be?
