Default AUX advise needed

Hello !

I have 2007 e60 520d lci model, whenever I play music thru aux cord it is very very silent no matter what I do.

Recently I got filters removed but very little change to the sound.

Is there anything else that I could do in order to combat the issue? I was thinking about buying pre-amp that connect to aux to help to boost the sound. Would that be a good idea? This is the product https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sound-Sho...UAAOSwa~JbMpzj

You could just have an impedance mismatch.

Most device outputs drive speakers which is not suited for line in due to impedance mismatch resistance.
