To the OP, this product requires an AUX Input to work ( I believe)... I am not sure what year your ride is, but I have an 04 545 and the only real option for me was an AUX Input retrofitted which requires coding - there is no way around it.

Hey, I bought the Bluetrip for my 07 550... Im happy with it, the quality is good, its the same sound you get from connecting anything in the aux.. I bought it so i can connect it in the aux by the rear seat so it won't be visible

honestly ive tried a few of them, some even at 80 bucks and the quality wasn't good. i just went and got the aux cable from the dealer and installed it myself. i was lucky enough to find a member here on the forums that did the coding for me (name on here nomis_nehc) very cool guy, quick and was best investment i made on my e60 thus far. i hardly listen to the radio, and never use CD's, just my ipod, so i use it all the time.
he's located in OC, i was in LA it was about an 40 minute cruise to him, but it was worth what i saved going to a dealer. i would suggest reading up on the install, theirs actually a good write up somewhere on these forums the same one i followed. hit him up see if he can code it for you.
