Push the mileage button and simultaneously insert key and move to Pos 1. (Not further). Then cycle through the information. One of the items was SW but I did not recognise the number. Maybe have to search through post by Urbo to see how it translates to CIP version. Cycle till you see KI test then push again. The show begins.

I see various info on the cluster display, and each push of the trip odometer button cycles to another item. At the top is says 01.00 then 01.01 then 01.02, etc. through 01.08, and then starts at the beginning again. Item 01.04 is:KI HSTLDATUM

My car's production date was November 10, 2004, so perhaps the production start date was October 28? I have a US 545i with nav & other options as listed in my signature below.
