Here's an interesting quandry with my brand new 545i. The autostore menu does not show up under FM, although it shows up and works fine under AM. Does any one of you have this problem. Took it to the dealership, they don't know what's going on?? They are contacting BMW as of now to find out!

So, now I have three complaints:

1. My passenger airbag off light has a mind of its own. Sometimes it comes on (and stays on!) when my wife is sitting in the passenger seat and sometimes it does not.

2. Pedal response not being wha it should be (we've been through that here enough).

3. Autostore not available in FM.

I really hope they fix these issues and that I don't find any new ones!!

 

i think a softward update will fix problem 1 & 3 but not 2. i have that same problem, too .

 

#1 can be fixed with a switch/sensor replacement. It's not a software thing. I had mine done.

#2 Be sure and demonstrate this to a tech, not just the service rep. Insist on it. Call them ahead of time and request this.

#3 should be fixed with a software update, I hope. I've lost several settings a couple of times since my last update about a month ago.

 

As far as the autostore issue, do you have something under FM called "all stations?" (manual, presets, all stations)

If so, you have the latest version of things. All stations replaces autostore on FM and actually works much better, once you understand how it operates.

If you only have manual and presets, then you likely need an upgrade to get autostore back on FM. I don't know where you are located so I can't determine if you have the choice of radios or not -- at this point, I'll be interested in simply knowing if "all stations" is there or not on FM...
