Hi,

My first post in this forum. Must say I'm impressed with the quality and content of all users input. Thank you for all the value it has already given me.

I'm going to the dealer on Monday to order my 530i but there are still a few questions that nor this forum nor the dealer has been able to answer:

1) Can I order an automatic "close" as well as "open" trunk feature as on the Touring E60?

2) I will order the Comfort chairs but nor the catalogue nor the dealer can clarify if the comfort chairs contains adjustment for the lower part of the back AND adjustable width of the back rest as default. In the pricelist (no pictures) there are two options that could be added to the comfort chairs, a) active=massage and b) width. However, after a call to the Swedish distributor they said that the width was standard but the active=massage was extra.

3) Your opinion on if I should order it with 17" or 18" wheels. I think 18" look better but I do not want a very bumpy ride.

Thanks.

Knubblo,

Not sure about the seat W's.... but I have the 18" 135M wheels with Goodyear Run Flat's, and couple with the M susupension it is quite ajolt over bumpy roads. On the nice smooth motorways here in the UK it is a dream though!

GO ORDER ASAP!

NO UNFORTUNATELLY NO

ACTIVE IS AN ADD OPTION BUT WORTH IT

18" SHALL BE NO PROBLEM I WILL HAVE 19" AND IT IS THE SAME
GO AND GET IT!!!? Thanks.

If you order auto open it comes with auto close as well. Once the boot is open there is button on the tailgate itself which when you press, the tailgate closes down to just past half way when it then shuts completely as if an invisible hand had just given it a push!

First of all welcome to E60 forums.

In my opinion, the E61 looks better with larger wheels. I personally would go for the 18's over the 17's. The difference in ride (I have 17's in winter and 18's in summerr) is noticeable but in my opinion, not a negative as far as comfort goes.
