Auto Zone Battery Installed, Huge Problems!!!

Just wondering if anyone use Interstate battery before???

Really!?! I'm not an expert but I suspect this could cause problems with the car's complex electrical system - as smart as it is wouldn't it detect NO BATTERY VOLTAGE and have the alternator work overtime!?!

I've used Interstate batteries to replace originals - they're OK. I previously posted a consumer magazine rating for batteries ... it's attached

I'm no expert either, but I doubt the alternator can work overtime . The alternator is generating power regardless of whether it is used or not and the only thing that determines the amount of power created is the revving of the engine causing faster turns on the dynamo. I do agree with the comment that the battery acts as a capacitor and there would be potential to damage some electronics due to unregulated voltage.

I know when running the engine without the battery connected (had to make sure my replaced alternator was working), the lights flicker due to the dirty power, and dirty power is never a good thing in electronics.
