Unhappy Auto transmission slips when cold... will flush help?

2008 535i

When I back out of my parking space, after the car has sat all night, the auto trans seems to slip a bit.

As soon as the system warms a little, no slip at all.

I took it to the dealer for inspection -- they found nothing. No error codes, couldn't replicate the issue. Charged me $140.

Should I be worried about the slippage?

Will a transmission fluid flush help?

Anyone have any experience with this issue?

Slips in reverse? If fwd gears put in manual mode in a higher gear than your speed and try to accelerate. Then try downshifting under that load. If it slips under heavy load you will get errors and limp mode.

My trans was just replaced for 6th to 5th downshift slips. Highway passing or cruise control resume is common usage.

Your Fluid level must be low, since the fluid expands with heat, if feels normal when the car has warmed up.

Thanks for suggestion - I'll try it.
