I have the 2007 530i LCI with the new fly by wire Auto Transmission. I read on this forum sometime back that the transmission 'learns' from the driving style of the driver and builds up memory and adapts over time. I also read that there is a way to 'reset' this memory and go back to the 'as new' status. I cannot find those posts now.
Can anyone confirm this and giv info on how to reset. I would like to revert to standard and see what difference it makes.
Thanks in advance for all you replies.

Put your fob in the ignition, light up the christmas tree without starting the engine, press and hold in kickdown with the throttle for 25secs I seem to recall...

Just type it into the search box at the top of your screen and loads of answers come up on this subject.

Damn Gene, too quick on the draw again. There's a reason why you're such a good resource.
