auto fold side mirrors
#21
They always tilt when reversing, this is standard on every E60 in Europe, i dont know about the US, it was even standard on the e46. You just have to make sure the button for changing the mirrors is put on the passengersside mirror, then it tilts, if its set to the drivers mirror, it doesnt tilt.

Tilt on park was not standard an all E60's it was only with certain options.

I have the tilt function on passenger side mirror and do not have memory seats, member patrys coded it for me. Do not believe anything the dealers tell you, key folding and tilt function can be added with or with out memory seats.

I have them on my 2010 535xi and it is great for parking in the garage. They will automatically fold back out to position once you hit 25MPH(not that it is too difficult to just hit the button!)

My 08 535i has folding mirrors using door mounted switch only. They will unfold automatically when driving but I use the switch.
To 525DA: On my car, the separate tilt-down function for the passenger mirror is ONLY engaged when reversing and the electric mirror switch is moved to the DRIVERS side setting. Counter-intuitive to what you'd think it should be.
