I'm loving I-drive.
It took me a couple of weeks to realize that I had the "Entertainment" section memorized. I don't really look at the screen as much as I used to. I just pull the control knob towards the rear of the car twice (I do this slowly...not as fast as you would double click a mouse) and I am at the CD disc selection screen.
My small screen is the Navi and it is always on.
Once I set up most of the I-drive settings I found I only use it for stereo (the word stereo doesn't do the sound system justice!) and the occassional Navi input.
