2007 LCI Just out of warranty - great; and now a move from P to Drive has become very clunky, and often takes 2 or 3 attempts to engage. Is this a known problem or is it just mine?

Do you only get two years warranty in France as we get three years in the UK.

I cant help you really other than say when my car went in for warranty work last year(not related to the gearbox) some mod was done to my gear selector. Originally when selecting drive, park, reverse the click form the selector solenoid was quite strong and pronounced after it came back it was just a little click you could feel and knowhere near as strong. I dont know if it was a recall part that was replaced or if it was just part of the software update that was done on mine. Might be worth asking if theres any recalls due on your car as well.

Yep. Just the 2. Cheaper motors thus less of the xtras I suppose. I'll see what they say, but in typical French style my agency is closed for two weeks for the holidays. Doncha just love it?

Update on the problem. Phew! it seems that the entire auto change block, change lever and all had to be replaced. The service manage said, with a big grin on his face, that in his view the problem had occurred before the warranty has expired. Says something for customer loyalty. So I purchased a new Nav disk to celebrate.
