When I bought my new 19's I also optd for new TPMS, been running for about 1000 miles with no problems what so ever until last nite when the warning came on idrive tire pressure lost...Got home checked all four and they were all right on 40psi. Reset the system and its been fine. is it just that finicky or what? Any comments?

that happens once in a great while. You should be fine since you reset the system...
you might have a slow leak though so keep an eye on the tires.

iDrive told me that I had a flat tire. I didn't. My tire pressure was a bit low, so I had them topped off and reset the alarm. Everything is fine now.

Any sudden change in outside air temperature while car was parked (immediately before your TPMS issue - IE cold front passing through)?

Thanks for the reply, its funny you say that because we had record temp of 100 degrees yesterday in Portland. I thought that may had something to do with it...

Really. I didn't know that could have any effect on TPMS.
