E60 sales in August 2008 increased 2.2% over the same month last year, which is a darn good outcome considering that passenger car sales fell 8.8%. The competition is tough too. Audi A6 sales are up 88% in August (to 1,520 units), while the MB E-Class sales drop 28% (to 2,681). The new Jaguar XF sold 886 units in August (compared to E60 sales of 5,287).
