audio issue when starting car

I have a dension 500, no5 sure if this is causing the problem or if its the car
basically when i turn the car on and the music starts its really nice high quality but like 5seconds later it drops in quality about 10% or the volume goes down a little bit. not 100% sure which one but i suspect its the quality as when i turn it up a little bit again it doesn't sound quite the same
is this just me? or any one else had similar issues with dension or without?
