I think the answer is no. In my mind the Angle Eye has now become as much of a BMW brand identity as the kidney grills, so putting a different style of light would conflict with that.

Totally agree. I think they've done a great job on the design of the current E-Class, but those LEDs look as though they put them there just to follow BMW and Audi.

We already have the "eyebrow" on our cars, which combines really well with the AEs and puts more emphasis on them IMHO. Adding bright dot-style LEDs like Audi would distract from the AEs and the key brand identifier, and in turn give it a confused look.

+1

I've seen too many posts here bashing other cars for copying the Angel Eye look that BMW originally designed. It would be a shame if they started using design accents that Audi came up with first.

I thought there will be LED Light Bar (just below the bumper) on the upcoming 2012 Gran Coupe ?

You need M5 mirrors ASAP. P.S. - Get rid of the red and get MTecV2 whites to match those brows I would look pretty sick man.

Personally, I think they look awful. Just like driving around in daylight with fog-lights on, what is the point ???

Volvo's back in the 80's had day-time running lights and they looked awful too !

Headlights are for seeing where your going at night no a fashion statement. And if you can see another car coming during the day without running lights then you shouldn't be driving.

the point is for other people to see you more easily. you may be forgetting that sometimes it is cloudy, sometimes people drive though tunnels without turning their lights on. Also, during dawn/dusk, some turn on their headlights later than others.

personally, i like the way they look

Actually, Joe is getting the Orions -- the multi-colored version.
