Hi all,
I also did the LCI IHKA retrofit, bought new pre-LCI AUC and the error is still present. Suplied pin2 with 12 volts but the AUC sensor is going very hot. Years ago i saw somewhere, that pre-LCI AUC works on 5 or 6 volts and LCI one works at 12. Can someone with pre-LCI IHKA to check voltage at the AUC connector?

I know this is a late reply, but for anyone else out there.

Pre LCI AUC Sensor is supplied around 5 volts. You can test this in ISTA.

The PIN 2 mod that most of you are doing.. and are not having success is because, what Stan did he removed PIN 2 wire from the connector and joined that to a 12v feed. Some of you have written that you actually fed 12v to the PIN in the IHKA, which is incorrect and will potentially kill your IHKA panel.

if your sensor is new and does not work, and you have the PRE LCI AUC sensor, with 4 pin connector sits on the Fan Shroud, then you have a faulty sensor.

I brought a brand new BMW Genuine sensor and it was faulty

UPDATE

1. My sensor was not faulty and neither was my previous sensor
2. After fitting CIC and Combox, there was a lot of playing around with the Prod Date, in the VO
3. So this caused the coding to go out of sync, somewhat and i also believe the car was updated at some point too, or not cant really remember.

So if you have the sensor, which Stian mentioned here, this fits on the fan shroud. And if you havent done the LCI retrofit for the Climate Control Panel.

Then go into the IHKA module, and read it via NCS Expert.
And then change the AUC_MKIV to not active. This will tell then default to version 2 sensor.

I hope it helps
