An auburn headliner would be too much color for me.

I actually surprised myself by going for auburn. I was set on black on black for up to a few days before I bought my car. But then I went in for a test drive, and test drove a auburn/sapphire black car and was amazed at how good it looked. I think the color looks sort of strange on the website @ bmwusa.com or most pictures, even, but looks great in real life.

Yes, my car is the Olivin green. One cannot look at the color chip in the catalog to judge the color, since that one looks gold and the car in that color is a gray/green. I like the color very much. Most of the people at the dealerships have mentioned that they've never seen this combintion before and they really wondered why they didn't order more of them to sell off the floor of the showroom. They liked it a lot too.

The last photo below is taken at dusk, and the headliner, though gray is not very noticable. I think the gray headliner works fine with the auburn/charcoal interior. It is a lot like BMW Individual which costs thousands more...

gdavis,

Your car looks pretty low in the rear, front too for that matter. Is it the angle of the picture, did you haev it lowered? I know that the sports pack makes it lower, but yours seems even lower than most of those. Is it just me?

It must just be the angle that I shot the photo from. It's just the sports package with 18" wheels and sports suspension. I didn't do any lowering mods to it at all.

Must have been an interesting message that got deleted there Flowerfred!

I saw a post here of a 645 with a reddish leather interior and carpet. I think if the Auburn interior had auburn carpet I would like it more. Just my .02.
