The more pictures I see of the auburn interior with the poplar wood, the more I think this would drive me nuts (I'm too type A, I guess) - I like the warmth of the poplar in a very stark, dry interior like the E60 has, but the clash would kill me. Any pictures of auburn interior with titanium or anthracite/ebony wood?

the titanium on the 6-er at the dealer's with red interior looks cool
i know auburn isn't exactly the same tone - but i agree poplar would clash & would make an otherwise hip interior look "oldish"

Well, I'm biased, but I think the Auburn interior looks great with the Popular wood. It makes it look like an Italian sports car. Definately order the antracite headliner. This completes the look. Of couse, I have this interior combination, so I may not be an independant source. However, most people who have seen my car rave about the interior.

Don't know if this helps, but I had to put in my two cents.

Well, not in my opinion. Interesting to see how different lighting (natural vs flash) affects the Auburn. I debated getting Anthratcite with Auburn, but finally decided that the best option was Poplar. I think it the 2 contrast well and look great. You be the judge:

Looks great to me, except I don't think they opted for the anthacite headliner. It makes a difference.

Well in the bottom one it seems to match well, but you yourself say that they 'contrast well', so they really aren't the same color family, are they? I'm just not sure if auburn would be best with titanium or anthracite or the poplar, which I like very much, just not sure if it matches.

Which of the photos is the most accurate? Those in the Information section of the website are all contrasting for the most part.

I have the Anthracite, IMO, the darkness of the wood keeps the "orange" tint of the Auburn to a minimum. I also have tinited windows. I have not seen Aluminum trim with Auburn yet, but I like the look of dark woods anyways

I have poplar wood with auburn interior and I think it's a much better blend than using the anthracite. The poplar warms the cabin and also ties in the auburn. I've had many compliments too. In the end you will need to be happy, so think it over....
