Auto - Non-Sports

I based my vote on what I use the most. I do use both the padels and shifter on every drive. Mostly for gaining on traffic and getting out of the way.

I've only got a couple of hundered miles on mine and I have been using the paddles in the non-sport mode. This afternoon I tried the SMG in the auto, non-sport mode with no problems. I traveled 25 miles in a mix of freeway/urban driving and everything seemed fine, although it took a conscious effort not to jump in with the paddles a couple of times. Maybe that line that BMWNA gave me about upgrading my SMG software prior to delivery had some merit. (My car was at Port Hueneme from 12-15-04 to 1-7-05 before I got it.)

Hummm thanks... I spoke with my dealer and they said "BMW is aware of the problem but currently have no software fix for it yet"

BUT

I went to another dealer and asked the same question. They didnt look it up but the Service Advisor just asked the techs and they said they're not aware of it.

So I dont know what to believe... I mean if BMW really is aware of the problem then thats fine. Otherwise.... :|

Oh also... I forgot to add... on freeway driving it doenst seem to "change" from auto to manual mode... 100 mile freeway driving yesterday and it was ok. Its usually during city stop and go. Stop Lights, Stop Signs etc...
