ARS/AFS errors, unable to disable DSC
Greetings,
I have an e60 530d and the car was equipped with AFS and ARS. The car had a great life before the previous owner when the active roll bars started leaking and he just straight up cut the hydraulic lines and removed the rollbar and got it "coded out"
Now my problem is there is almost no answers online on how to actually make Active Steering work with ARS removed. I know some cars only had Active Steering and you could just remove it from VO in every module that requires it but I have checked and it is actually removed but car still has errors and it wont allow me to disable/turn off ESC/DSC.
At first I thought that it might just be the Steering Angle Sensor and it was faulty reading -1800° after cleaning it it now reads correct values, got it initialized with ISTA. After 20mins of driving or just stalling the car it pops up and stops working and sometimes the wheel gets stuck in a weird angle so you have to restart the car and it realigns. Not the biggest of problems currently...
Okay back to ARS faults. So, fuse 32 in glove compartments has been removed and coded out. I get errors:
93CC: Servotronic nominal current invalid
93CD: ECO target current invalid
4C08: 4c08 message (STAT_ARS, 0X1AC)
4447: 4447 message (TORQUE_ANF_AFS, 0X89)
4548: 4548 POWER MANAGEMENT WIRING SYSTEM
612C: Hardware error control module
6140: Redundancy comparison driver's steering angle above
6145: no monitoring of angle sum relationship
CE93: Message (steering wheel angle above, ID = 0C8) Initialization phase
5F62: Signal exchange AFS-DSC invalid
D35F: CAN error: message STAT_ARS (ID 0x1AC) is missing!
If anybody has any idea what could be the problem or you have a solution please share it below.
I didn't include screenshots so somebody that might encounter the same problem can find it by looking for codes if we ever get this resolved.
