One thing I miss going from my 1998 E39 to my E60 545 is the arming sound is used to make (which is the same as the when the alarm goes off on the e60)
It used to turn heads, and I thought it was really nice and unique. Now the E60 is very boring with that beep when arming that sounds like many other cars. How can I change it to whistle when I arm or disarm? Is it a code thing, rewiring perhaps or even change the sound module all together?
This is one mod I will definitely get done ASAP
Thanks

The way it is on the e39 pre 2001, is that the arming and alarm sounds went to the same module. On the E60 it's two different modules, so as you indicated I will have to find where the arming module is and replace it with the one from the E39 if that even works hehe.

I thought I read somewhere that its in the rear bumper... is that possible? Sounds absurd but there was a recent thread where someone suggested it.
