Anyone track their car or planning on it? Are there any warranty issues to consider?

Brake pads are part of the free maintenance, right?

They're covered, as are the rotors and the clutch, but not if they can legitimately prove or claim abuse, which "track"ing would probably be considered.

I think brake pads should be ok but don't make a big deal to the dealer that your baby was on the track. A more major concern is insurance. Make sure that you're covered before you go. Make sure they know it's not a competitive event. There will be NO racing...this is a driver's SCHOOL. That's what they need to hear...it's true...and it worked for me (in my '97 328is). Forturnately I didn't have any claims. If you go, it will be an unforgettable experience and you'll be grinning from ear to ear for at least a month. That grin will be added on top of the one you already have (I still do!!) from driving the E60 around! Good luck.

I am an insurance advisor in Holland and can tell you that it is not covered by your policy if you have a Dutch car insured in Holland.
