I travel a lot each week and the only time I lose signal is in parking garages. In my 4runner w/ XM I occasionally dropped signal which was most likely due to the antenna being mounted on the dash inside the cabin.

In my personal experience drop or dead spots have been a very rare occurrence and I travel in some extremely rural areas. Of course, in underground parking garages or tunnels you might expect some service interruptions.

I Called and asked to cancel, they gave 4 months free. I wonder how many times that will work.

Did they give you 4 months on top of a one-year renewal? That's almost the same as 1/2 off. When I had Comcast Internet I re-uped the promotion packages every 6 months.

You guys have the benefit of some good areas... I live almost 800 ft up on the top of a large hill (not sure if its a real mountain)... but there are a ton of dead spots around me and throughout the descent... aside from that i did notice if you listen to the same channel a lot its a ton of repeat programming. I guess that isnt much different than regular radio, but the no commercial thing is sweet. I have a Microsoft Zune mp3 player, and its 120 gig... thats a HUGE amount of music... I dont often hear the same thing twice unless its by design.
