We normally only flame the tasteless (see ENVY), otherwise you'll have differences of opinion and some will like it, some won't. As long as it's tasteful (and those taillights are anything but) you won't get much flaming. The point of modding, IMHO, is to make your car look unique and different than everyone else's, which is a good thing, but there is always that tipping point where you can easily cross from modder to moron.

Concentrate on making that machine 100%, absolutely and beyond question, mechanically perfect before you spend $$$ on stuff you'll probably end up taking off and replacing with stock after a year anyway. But most importantly, enjoy that car!

the hell is that?

but i do agree with you fritolay..the whole blacked out plasti dip whateverthefuck i can on my car is getting ridiculous. it's ridiculously tacky. that super dark tinted tails, headlights, blacked out wheels, super dark tint look is just dumb in my opinion. keep it classy homie.

**EDIT: it can be pulled off rarely...but can be done. Exhibit A: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17id...jpg/xlarge.jpg

I'm going to hold off on more exterior upgrades for now. I'll take the advice and head over to my local mechanic to have it looked over more closely again, get any more needed maintenance done on it. It sure does ride like no other car I have ever had!

Then I'll see what I can do to make my car different and not too tacky. (Every time I see a local corvette with a wing on the back I cringe, don't want to have BMW folks cringing on my car)

Do whatever you want man, its YOUR car. These guys arent paying for YOUR car......do whatever you like. :-)

FYI- your color blacked out (if done proper) would look great. Plastidip is great.....some people are very "upper class" so they like spending money on useless stuff. I would never pay $60 on grilles or $200+ on shadowline when I can get a can of plastidip for $6 and get the same look.
