Smile Anyone Having Rough Idle or Hiccups on Their E60

Hi there,

I just wanted to share my experience on my 07 E60 with 75k miles. For the past couple of months my car has had a horrible idle with random hiccups that were annoying. Also at cold startups it would vibrate a bit but it was only noticeable when stopped at a red light or stop sign. I read up on a Fuel treatment by the name of BG44K and all i can say is WOW.

This product works amazing! iv'e only driven my car half tank with this stuff in it and man can i feel a diference. NO more hiccups, low idle or vibration (even when the AC is on). engine feels alot smoother on manual mode and acceleration is back! cant find this product at autozone or oriley's. i ordred mine off ebay for $20 USD, hope it helps since i know our cars have a big issue when it comes to the idle.

did you order the can with funnel?

I hope you're not trying to spam the forum with snake oil. It just seems too good to be true to have a miracle cure out of a can, while BMW can't even diagnose and fix sometimes.

I've had random idle hiccups. Only felt them at red light or idle. Turned out to be spark plugs.

No spam here, I've posted plenty of topics n comments here. Yea its the can with the yellow funnel. Add it before your next fill up and drive it, you'll feel the diff. Bmw claims if it has not error or msg they don't fix it. I nvr got a any type of error just annoying bad idle. I to thought it was my spark plugs, changed those n still with the problem. Ill keep u guys updated once I'm done with it. Sorry for any typos using my smart phone

great Padilla, I'll probably give it a try too, I'm having some weird idle issues myself and just thought your post was too good to be true, but what the heck...20 bucks is not going to break me.

Your dillusional, get your swirl flaps removed and your problem will be gone for good. Your swirl flaps are sticking open on idle and causing the hiccup. Happened on 2 E60's I bought and it sorted the problem straight away

I had a Infiniti Q45 for 8+ years. They had an active forum that I would always follow-up. The mechanics etc swear by BG44K for fuel clean-up (mostly to clean dirty/clogged fuel injectors). They would recommend putting BG44K once a year - on those old Q45s that had gone 100K miles+. I don't know if BG44K is good for BMW - but glad to know you are seeing good results.

i had some long-standing hesitations during idle, particularly at stop-lights, on my Q45. Finally brought it down to a very clogged fuel filter. Must have been a bad-fill at some remote gas station and that clogged the fuel filter - and only during idle, when the fuel pressure was low, the car will struggle to idle. There were no engine warnings, no ignition coils issue, no spark-plugs issue. Bad fuel filter. It is a bit worrysome that E60 fuel filters are inside fuel-pump and $$$ to replace.
