I had them on my A6 as original eqipment. They wore rather quickly and were just OK performance wise. I replaced them with Bridgestone S-03's and found them to much better than the RE050's

what tires do you have on the car now? how do you like them? also, IMHO, the 545 far outhandles the Audi any day... could it have been the car that didn't provide the great performance?

I am asking because they want to replace mine with RE050 and I hear mostly great things.. this is the first average rating... so I am picking it apart, if you don't mind.

I know the BMW will outhandle the Audi any day - That's why I am back in a BMW.
(Although the AWD did make things quite interesting it still didn't make up for the balanced weight distribution of the BMW(s)).
I found that the S03's performed better on the same car than the 050's. The car handled better IMHO with the S03's and they wore at about the same rate.
I have the Dunlop runflats on the car now and I don't have any complaints.

Tough to tell for sure as I haven't had them on the same car but I'd have to say that the S03's seemed to stick better at the limit and continued to stick as they were wearing (due in part to the dual compound of the tire). Not sure what I'll go with once these are gone.

I have the same tire on my 530. While I can't compare with different tires on my car, I did have Pirelli P7's on my previous BMW and these compare fine. We'll see how long they last and how they work when the tread starts to wear down.

Bridgestone RE050A with Dynamic Drive: too noisy and not comfortable.

530E60NL- they replaced your Dunlops because of a shimmy... Dunlops were better? also, It seems the Dunlops are just as noisy, no?
