i wouldnt mind getting a new 750 but the 7 has tons of problems and the v12 makes things worse. im probably going to go test drive a 550 and lexus Ls 460 L soon when the snow clears up here.
Ah, the Lexus LS460....the worlds largest marshmallow!

I drove one, and its truly the most comfortable car I have ever driven. If I had to drive from NYC to Miami, it would be my first choice. So quiet and smooth, its like being in a sensory deprivation chamber listening to Yanni.

But, if the roads you drive have any bends, or if you actually want to feel like you're driving with some UMPF, its not the car to buy.

Sunny I went from E39 to E66 to E60, Loved the room of the 7 and all the gizmos and the stand out in stop light p lots Etc and I had to let it go "Lemon", however the 535i is a beast and fast as hell and haven't had any problems so far and still gets compliments less room and I miss the autoP option in the 7. I would look for a 750li but you still looking at dealer visits cuz you know how unreliable they are. Do like Tbal said 535i chipped FTMW. my 0.02

from what i read here the 5 is a reliable car. i dont think i want another 7 since ive already owned a E65(745i) and E66(760li) now. another reason i dont a 7 is they are very unreliable as you know. so im going to keep looking for a white 550.

i went for a test drive in a 550 sport today and what a car. the power and handling is excellent

6 series wouldn't be a bad options, I'm starting to fall in love with them recently.
