Anybody with 6FL USB audio interface, Y cable and iPod?
#1
Does anybody use iPod nano/iPod classic (or similar - but not Touch) with 6FL USB audio interface and Y cable?
According to the manual, Y cable from BMW is not required. 30 pin Apple cable works too if the iPod nano/classic is configured in iTunes as a USB drive (any iPod can be configured this way except the Touch version) and the sound is transmitted digitally. I can confirm that this works and everything is loaded correctly. But the iTunes playlists do not work and are not displayed at all (just like the manual says).
But if you use the Y cable, playlists (interestingly) work, according to the manual. I'd like to know that if you use the Y cable but don't plug the AUX jack in, does sound still play and iTunes playlists work?
Thanks.
